Accessibility

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is incredibly important to us, and ensuring that our website is accessible is one of the many commitments that we make. Web accessibility is an incredibly important foundation for all of our work, and is embedded into every project or programme we work on.

Our Commitment

We commit to developing a culture that cares about everyone who uses both our, and our clients’ digital services - regardless of ability, device or situation. We commit to creating a culture for designing solutions for everybody, without compromising on the enjoyment of using our products.

Our commitment starts with our own digital services such as wearebernadette.co and VCCP.com, and extends to when we work with our clients. We promise to make accessibility a founding element of all website projects.

We are blown away by how much you've considered and delivered from an accessibility and usability perspective.

Our Approach

In order to ensure that we are always making progress, we have established a cross-discipline team called the “Accessibility Collective”.

The team spans:

  • UX Design

  • UI Design

  • Development

  • Account Management

  • Content Management

  • Project Management

This team is in charge of setting accessibility objectives for the agency, raising awareness, knowledge and the skillset of individuals and the agency as a whole. The Collective are instilling WCAG (International Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) accessibility standards within all of our website project work.

How accessible is the site?

Our website launched on 28th April 2022. We designed, developed and created content for the website with WCAG accessibility standards embedded into our approach.

Once live, our next step will be to conduct an accessibility audit of our website to understand what percentage of compliance we have achieved against WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Once this has been conducted, we will go on to make improvements and then put a process in place to review the website for accessibility at regular intervals.

Non-accessible content

Once our audit has been completed, we will openly talk about any shortfalls in the accessibility of our site and its content.

Having difficulties using the site?

If you do have any difficulties while using our site, please do not hesitate to contact us.
